A desire to work
When considering if Connect to Work is right for an individual, it is important to ensure that they have a desire to work at some point in the next 12 months. It doesn’t have to be in month one, two, or even three, but finding work must be part of their plan over the next year.
When on programme, we will nurture our participants and provide the necessary support to help them on the road to work. This support could be anything from housing, mental wellbeing or even budgeting.
We will help our participants find the right job, not just any job.
Aligned support
A holistic approach enables us to integrate our specialist employment support with local provisions, including support for physical and mental wellbeing.
Small caseloads
And, with lower caseloads, we can truly invest in our participants. This means we can spend time getting to know each individual, understand what they want from the programme, their future dreams and work together to make them happen
A unique approach
- Discovering dreams: We’ll make the time to get to know our participants and understand their employment wish list.
- Finding the perfect match: Once we know what they are looking for, it’s our turn to work our magic and find the perfect job.
- Partnering for perfection: As well as finding the perfect job, we need to partner with a suitable employer that can accommodate the participant’s needs.
- Continued support: Our specialist and individual-led approach means we won't disappear when our participants need us most. We offer ongoing, personalised support even after they start work. Starting work and changing routine can be overwhelming, especially if an individual has additional health needs or hasn’t worked in a while, so we continue to check in, join them on their lunch break, or we can even offer money advice on how to make the most of their new income.
