Impact Pilots
Investing in diverse delivery for maximum impact
Investing in diverse delivery for maximum impact
We have invested in a dedicated team to deliver Triage Impact; a series of pilot programmes, enabling us to test ‘what works’ for key priority groups needing additional support to access employment or progress to other positive destinations.
Pilots enable us to be flexible and creative, outside the parameters of our contracted provision. Each pilot is carefully designed, monitored and evaluated, with participant feedback built in, enabling us to tweak the delivery model to meet individual needs. Each pilot aligns with the ambitions of the Government and devolved authorities to provide tailored interventions to support the achievement of an 80% employment target.
If you'd like to speak to the pilot team about developing a pilot, please get in touch.
Priority groups
Through our industry knowledge and experience, we have identified key priority groups who may require more tailored and intensive support than is typically achieved by our contracted programmes. Examples include:
- Young people not in employment, education or training
- Jobseekers aged 50+
- People with disabilities and long-term health conditions
- Ex-offenders
- People with caring responsibilities
Working in partnership
Partnership working is the perfect way of adding value to our impact pilots.
We work with our partners to co-design delivery models, generate referrals, enhance participant outcomes, and share experiences of supporting people with additional barriers.
Partnering with location-specific and/or specialist partners to deliver in areas such as mental health support, pre-employment training, confidence building and social skills, not only raises awareness of the support available in the local community, but it broadens the participant offer and helps us support more people.
Each pilot generates real results:
Attendance rate 85% for weekly face-to-face and group sessions
Secured 100+ interviews for participants
Increased uptake of opportunities such as training and volunteering
50%+ job outcomes over 12 weeks
Meet the team
Led by our Business Development Director, Nicola Brittle, our pilot team each brings different yet equally valuable skills to our innovative ways of working with participants who face multiple barriers.
Thomas Highfield
Innovation Manager
As an Innovation Manager working on pilot programmes, Tom designs training for those individuals who face the greatest barriers to employment.
Having worked in learning and development, Tom has a wealth of experience when it comes to upskilling individuals and developing innovative approaches to progression.
The pilot programmes are designed to have maximum impact for those who feel a brighter future is simply out of reach.
Whether it’s his team or the people on our programmes, Tom is ultimately a people person and thrives in an environment where he can help people become the best version of themselves.
Tom claims his move from the technology to the employability sector, has given him a new sense of purpose and admits to being a results-driven individual making his current role a perfect fit.
Matthew Flanagan
Business Development Pilot Facilitator
After nearly 13 years in the military, Matthew was medically discharged in 2020. Armed with endless skills from his time as an infantry soldier, Matthew was determined to seek out new opportunities that continued to allow him to make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
An extrovert by nature, his ability to connect with others and his desire to help people become the best version of themselves makes him a perfect fit for Triage and his current role.
A varying routine, delivering innovative programmes and building stakeholder relationships are all part of Matthew's day-to-day.
Matthew's dream job as a child was to become a soldier, and now, having achieved his dream, he is determined to help others achieve theirs.
Kerry McCarthy
Pilot Facilitator
Kerry’s role as a Pilot Facilitator means she works closely with participants and sees first-hand the impact that bespoke employability programmes can have on those who need it most.
During her career, Kerry has always gravitated to roles where she can make the greatest difference. Whether that was working with young people as part of the National Careers Service or helping refugees establish a life in the UK. With a person-centered approach, Kerry provides support that goes deeper than just moving people into work; she works with people on their confidence, overcoming obstacles, and achieving qualifications, ultimately, she is determined to ensure our pilot participants succeed, all the while remaining humbled to have played a small part.
Having felt judged and sidelined at times in her life, Kerry is unapologetically 100% herself, and she brings this confidence and compassion to her delivery, giving others access to opportunities that will help them succeed in life.
