OFSTED success
Last month, we had our OFSTED inspection.
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. Areas of inspection and feedback:
- Curriculum and teaching: Well aligned to local labour market needs, offering accessible pathways and high-quality teaching
- Achievement: Most learners successfully progress into employment or further learning
- Attendance and behaviour: High engagement and good attendance
- Personal development and wellbeing: Learners feel safe, informed and prepared for their next steps
- Inclusion: Welcoming culture, effective early identification of need, especially with SEND learners
- Leadership and governance: Strong strategic direction, effective oversight and decisive action
- Safeguarding: Well-led and fully embedded culture with strong governance and skilled leadership
“Achieving the ‘expected standard’ is a true testament to the dedication and strength of our team. Nordic, our subcontractor, also deserve recognition for their role in our OFSTED success. These inspections are rigorous, with only a week's notice before inspectors review our day-to-day operations. This year, we were among the first independent training providers to be assessed under the new inspection framework. I’m incredibly proud not only of the outcome, but also of how the team came together and conducted themselves throughout the process - a perfect reflection of our ‘thriving together’ value.” Jasmin Ayre, Head of Delivery
